30-second excerpt

A man drives a prop vehicle into an unfamiliar mountain town. The landscape outside the window nevertheless evokes a sense of familiarity, as though his hometown and stories from the past were reappearing along the journey. Gradually, he remembers that he has come in search of a name that appeared in a dream. The work connects the sights along the road through a narrative of searching, weaving geographical movement together with a return through memory.

The film frames the landscape through the vehicle’s windows, allowing viewers to follow the character’s gaze as he recognises connections between the scenery and his hometown. In the exhibition, the cardboard and timber vehicle retains its assembled joints, supports, and material textures, making the prop itself an object of attention. By placing actual landscapes alongside a fabricated vehicle, the work makes both the emergence of familiarity and the construction of a scene visible, exploring the relationships between place, memory, and imagination.
